Scenes from the Sunnah that inspire kindness and loyalty.

The woman from Khath'am

She asked the Prophet ﷺ about performing Hajj for her elderly father, who could not sit firmly on a mount, and he permitted her to perform Hajj for him. The lesson: kindness extends beyond a parent's inability.

Sa'd ibn Ubadah and his mother

His mother died while he was away, so he asked the Prophet ﷺ whether it would benefit her if he gave charity on her behalf. He said: “Yes.” The lesson: loyalty through giving charity for one's parents.

The man who made Talbiyah for another

The Prophet ﷺ heard a man making Talbiyah on behalf of another and asked him: “Have you performed Hajj for yourself?” When he said no, he told him to perform it for himself first. The lesson: start with yourself, then act on behalf of others.
